No-exam life insurance
Eligibility requirements for expedited approval, application mechanics, and what to expect if you don't qualify for acceleration.
A majority of insurers now provide rapid underwriting: for applicants in specified age and amount ranges, they render a decision from the application, history of prescriptions, driving records and related sources rather than a physical paramedical exam. Several finalize decisions the same business day. Your quote will note whether the particular product needs an exam, possibly needs one, or skips it.
What it changes
Accelerated approval bypasses the paramedical exam but doesn't skip underwriting. Your statements get cross-checked, and a policy issued on misstatements is contestable through the first two years. Carriers may still demand testing or samples if their investigation raises concerns; you decide whether to move forward.
Who tends to qualify
Most candidates under approximately 60, applying within the carrier's accelerated program cap, with unremarkable health records and no tobacco history (within the last year or longer). Some carriers take recent medical bloodwork in place of an exam.
Should an exam be necessary, it typically spans 20 to 30 minutes with a paramedic visiting your residence or workplace in the Monterey Park region, with zero expense to you. A positive result can elevate your rating tier if you're healthy, so testing isn't always disadvantageous.
