Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool only asks six things: your gender, date of birth, health, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and how many years you want it for. Those answers are enough for carriers to give you their rates. Your name, phone, address and medical history are only asked if you choose to continue into an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for the health category you selected. These are estimates for comparison only. After you apply, the carrier underwriting team will review your answers, possibly ask for medical records or exam results, and set the actual rate based on their assessment. Nothing here guarantees any particular price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name into the quote you liked, and the application opens in a secure form on the carriers' platform, already filled with your answers. You can take your time, leave and come back later, and sign your name electronically once everything is right. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), manages the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the carrier, the amount you're applying for, and what you told us about your health. Newer term products for younger applicants without major health conditions often skip the exam. Each quote on this site tells you whether that carrier will require an exam, might require one, or doesn't need one for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

A term should cover the span of years when someone depending on your income would be in trouble if you died: until a mortgage is paid, until children finish school and are independent, until a business is stable or sold. A 20- or 30-year term locks in your rate for that whole period and costs more per month than a shorter term, but you're not making a new decision every few years. The quote tool lets you compare all the lengths side by side and see what different terms cost.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote form asks only for gender, age, health, and tobacco use—nothing that identifies you. Those answers go to the carriers' platform to calculate rates, but are not stored here. We do not keep visitor data, do not sell or share it, and do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Visit the privacy page to see exactly what we collect and where it goes.
